Our dedication to creating energy-efficient products led to an active partnership with the ENERGY STAR® Program. Since 2002, our engineers have worked closely with leading agencies in the industry like ENERGY STAR that dedicate themselves to environmental responsibility. We work hard to produce professional-class doors and custom replacement windows that meet or exceed ENERGY STAR criteria and proudly display the distinctive blue label on our products.
ProVia's ENERGY STAR qualified doors and windows are independently tested and certified to meet strict energy efficiency standards. The annual Partner of the Year Awards are given to a select group of organizations that have exhibited outstanding leadership. ProVia has won this prestigious award 4 times and the Sustained Excellence award 3 times. ENERGY STAR is a government backed program to help consumers identify energy efficient products.
At ProVia, not only do we manufacture energy efficient doors and windows, but we also exercise corporate environmental stewardship. Here are a few examples:
We recycle paper, metals and glass.
Our Pollution Preventions Program dramatically reduces solvent usage by over 33% since 2002.
To save fuels, our trucks use the TriPac Idle Reduction and Temperature Management System.

LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) is a non-profit/non-government agency developed by USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council) in 1998 to encourage sustainable building practices in a number of different markets.
The LEED green building certification program is the nationally accepted benchmark for the design, construction, and operation of green buildings. It is a voluntary certification program that can be applied to any building type and any building life-cycle phase. It promotes the a whole-building approach to sustainability by recognizing performance in key categories. In order for a building to become LEED certified, it must meet specific prerequisites and achieve specified performance levels to qualify for rating points.
All rating categories can achieve 1 of 4 levels of certification. ProVia Door products can contribute to LEED points in 3 credit categories, helping your project satisfy all prerequisites to be certified. The three categories ProVia products contribute to are as follows:
Energy and Atmosphere (EA) - This credit category encourages a variety of energy strategies such as, reducing carbon impact and energy consumption.
Material and Resources (MR)- This credit category encourages of sustainably grown, harvested, produced and transported products and materials. Reuse and recycle existing building materials. Use more recycled content.
Regional Priority (RP) - This credit category encourages use
of regional products to reduce carbon impact of fossil fuels in transportation and to support local economies.
